Lazio deny Klose bust-up reports

Lazio have denied reports of a bust-up between Miroslav Klose and management.

There were stories in the media over the past week that both Klose and Coach Edy Reja had blazing rows with director of sport Igli Tare, to the point the German had gone ‘on strike’ for Wednesday game against Milan.

Lazio said in a statement: "Miroslav Klose was attributed certain discussions and critical comments on the director of sport, but the player categorically denies these quotes. He confirms that he considers the squad to be fully competitive for the objectives he aspires to, as proved by the recent game with Milan, which he failed to take part in only due to a physical problem."
