Lazio penalty shootout hero Nando Muslera was a proud man after lifting the Coppa Italia last night.

"It feels incredible, but we deserved it and have done well throughout the tournament. This was a very difficult game and we did it," smiled Muslera.

"Penalties are a tricky situation and anything can happen, but it went well."

It was a great end to the season for Muslera, who beat Argentina's first choice Juan Pablo Carrizo to wear the Lazio gloves.

"I am relaxed and happy that I got my form back. I dedicate this to my family, who are all crowded around the television in Uruguay so far away right now!"
