Lazio's newly struck relationship with Manchester City has led them to asking after Roque Santa Cruz.
The two clubs have already swapped left-backs, with Aleksandar Kolarov joining City and Javier Garrido signing with Lazio in the past week.
And Lazio president Claudio Lotito has sounded out City about a deal for Santa Cruz, knowing that they would need the English club to cover part of the Paraguay striker's wages to bring him to Rome.
Fulham and Stoke City are also keen on Santa Cruz.
