Lazio coach Reja defends Kolarov after fans clash
Lazio coach Edy Reja has defended Aleksander Kolarov after he hit out at angry fans during training last week.
The fullback had a go back at jeers from fans during a bounce game in midweek.
"The fans see the team so low and it’s only natural they’re upset, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t close to us,” insisted Reja.
“There was a bit of tension on Thursday and at the moment the players are not relaxed, they are aware of the situation we’re in.
“It is not good to reply to public protests, though, and it must not be repeated. In any case, Kolarov apologised and was just angry because he’d been insulted and was giving his all. He didn’t offend anyone.”
