Lazio chief Igli Tare insists Djibril Cisse is staying.

The signing of Liverpool Montevideo striker Emiliano Alfaro has raised doubts over Cisse's future.

But Tare said: "Alfaro can play as a centre-forward or a support striker, but has different characteristics to Djibril Cissè, so he's got nothing to do with this move.

"I hear reports that Djibril is up for debate, but he is a crucial player and absolutely off the market. He came back from the winter break having lost 3kg and proved how much he wants to get back to being his old self."
