Lazio chief Igli Tare admits a deal for on-loan Al Sadd striker Mauro Zarate remains up-in-the-air.

Tare said: "I have nothing to confirm about his signing. I can only say that everything that we needed to do in our mission to Qatar has been done. We're demonstrating our desire that this young man continues his adventure in Rome with the Lazio club.

"But the will of the player will be essential also, he should prove to remain at all costs with our club. We are confident, expect something on April 30.

"I cannot add anything, but I think and hope that in the end he plays for Lazio."
