Lazio sports chief Igli Tare has admitted they're interested in Benfica midfield star Pablo Aimar.

Tare said: "At this time Aimar is not a hot topic. It is true that we asked about him, but it is still early to say what will happen tomorrow. We'll see how things go in the month of January.

"Aimar is a great player, no one can doubt that. But he's with Benfica and I think that talking about the market in October does not make sense."
