Lazio captain Rocchi confirms rejecting Zenit offer

Lazio captain Tommaso Rocchi has admitted he rejected an offer from Zenit St Petersburg.

New Zenit coach Luciano Spalletti has been chasing the experienced striker.

“It’s true that Spalletti called me, but I never even considered leaving Lazio and I did not ask the club to be released either,” Rocchi told Sky Sport Italia.

“I have been here for six years and want to end my career at Lazio.”
