Lazio's Ravel Morrison has spoken out about his time with West Ham United.
The 22-year-old midfielder joined the Hammers from Manchester United in 2012 but had his contract cut short in February this year after spending time on loan with Birmingham City, QPR and Cardiff City.
Morrison suggests he was never given the opportunities he deserved at Upton Park but has now been given a chance at a club he feels has more significant than the East Londoners.
"At times I wanted to stop playing because I felt I had done everything right to be playing in the team," he told The Sun.
"I started to dislike the sport because it seemed it did not matter how hard I worked, I wasn't in the side.
"It makes me laugh when I hear some people saying I've made a backward step coming here.
"Lazio is arguably, with no disrespect intended, a bigger club than West Ham."
