Lazio approach West Brom for Tamas loan

Lazio have approached West Bromwich Albion for defender Gabriel Tamas.

The Italian club are keen to take the Romanian international on-loan for the whole of next season, says the Birmingham Mail.

Tamas, who has three years left on his current deal, would happily stay at the Hawthorns but is not assured of a regular place and is keen for first-team football.

The Rome-based club are willing to offer him that and, assuming a loan fee can be agreed with Albion, would be happy to take him on board for 2011-12.
