Stefano Mauri has revealed Daniele de Rossi apologised to him after the AS Roma ace was sent off on Sunday for thumping the Lazio midfielder.
De Rossi went into the Lazio changing rooms after the game to make peace.
"De Rossi is a great champion who made an error," Mauri stated. "He immediately said sorry - honour to him."
