Celtic will not be bringing in any big-name marquee players this winter according to chief executive Peter Lawwell.
Former Arsenal star Freddie Ljungberg had a failed short-term stint with the Hoops at the end of 2010, start of 2011, and Lawwell has made it clear there will be no similar stories at Parkhead anytime soon.
"What is a marquee signing? Is it £80,000 a week? £90,000 a week? Those days are gone. In fact they were never here," he said.
"You try a Ljungberg or something but it's very difficult to see that happening again. I think we have a good strategy. We are never complacent.
"We are beginning to see the product of that strategy and we are all committed to making it better.
