Lawro insists no need for Liverpool to rush Suarez replacement

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson insists there's no need for manager Brendan Rodgers to rush into bringing in a replacement for Luis Suarez.

Lawrenson wrote in the Liverpool Echo: "I see Edinson Cavani and Radamel Falcao have been linked with moves to Liverpool this week.

"On the outside these are the type of moves that will excite supporters.

"But be warned there is a degree of caution that must be taken with these type of transfers.

"You just don't know if agents are at work trying to get them new contracts or even engineer a move to a club like Real Madrid.

"However, names like Cavani and Falcao are the type of marquee players that if Suarez could be replaced these are the ones who could possibly do so.

"It remains to be seen as to whether these players are even available but I don't think Brendan would be too concerned.

"There is no great rush to sign a big player and you have to remember, the transfer committee has worked very well over the summer."
