Stoke City winger Liam Lawrence is determined to use any minutes he sees for the Republic of Ireland to lift the profile of his club.
Lawrence and Stoke teammate Glenn Whelan are in the frame to face France in Ireland's World Cup playoff.
He said: "I am a Stoke player and, every time I play for my country, I am representing Stoke.
"Hopefully, if I play, me and Glenn can show people what Stoke are about.
"If I am involved, I will be giving everything, just as I do when I pull on a Stoke jersey."
