Rangers midfielder Nicky Law believes he is a part of the second best playing group in Scotland.
Despite 'Gers competing in Scotland's League One, Law is confident that Ally McCoist has the deepest squad at his disposal behind current champions Celtic, and ahead of last term's runners-up Motherwell.
"We'd like to think we have," said Law in the wake of the weekend's 1-0 at Forfar Athletic to maintain Rangers' 100% record this season.
"We have four, five or six internationals. The manager feels he has a squad just now of 21 and if he can add one more then he has a real competitive group.
"Whereas at Fir Park I think we had 12 or 13 players Stuart McCall could choose from.
"I don't think Rangers would have any problem doing well in the top flight. We feel we could compete against any of them in a one-off occasion."
He added: "We are certainly not as good as Celtic at the minute.
"However, if there is to be a one-off match then we could certainly give them a good game."
