Lavicka frustrated after Sydney FC loss

Sydney FC boss Vitezslav Lavicka was left feeling frustrated after his side failed to capitalise on their chances last night.

The Sky Blues were beaten 1-0 by Melbourne Heart at Sydney Football Stadium but the match could have had a completely different outcome if the home side were able to make the most of their attacking play according to the Czech tactician.

"It is frustrating for all of us. We started the game actively and aggressively and the same in the second half. We created the chances but we just can't score that goal," Lavicka said.

"One of key points was to start with high tempo, aggressively and push them back and we did that."

The reigning A-League champions now sit on the bottom of the table but Lavicka was maintaining a positive outlook.

"If there is still a chance (to make the finals), even mathematically, we will fight for it," he added.
