Napoli midfielder Ezequiel Lavezzi felt they should've done better after defeat to Champions League opponents Bayern Munich.

Napoli bravely fought back after a Mario Gomez hat-trick, but Federico Fernandez's brace wasn't enough as they fell 3-2 to Bayern Munich.

"We started the game well, but you can't just give 15 minutes to a team like Bayern. We all saw what happened," said El Pocho.

"I liked playing as a centre-forward and we began with great character, but couldn't finish off our chances. If we had, then it would have been a very different game."
