Martin Laursen admits he's unsure of his future at Aston Villa.

After defeat at home to Portsmouth, Laursen said: "We will sit down and talk next week or the following week. Is the contract moving closer? I don't know. Nothing has changed.

"I have been very pleased with Villa's support and also with their decision for me to go away to do my rehab when I had my knee problem. They have always given me great support - and I am fine here; I am happy here.

"I am playing; I feel good and I have a good relationship with the manager and everyone at the club. I've said all the time that we can sit down and talk about a new deal - but in football, you never know. We haven't spoken yet."
