Martin Laursen's agent insists he is only committed to staying with Aston Villa.

"Yes he is going to be out-of-contract next summer, and he wishes to renew," Federico Pastorello told skysports.com. "He wants to stay at Villa, that is his wish and at the moment he is only thinking about extending."

Pastorello does not see the lack of talks at the moment as being an issue.

"There is nothing to worry about, Martin knows how Villa have done well by him," he continued.

"They totally have the priority on him and that is what Martin wants.

"Obviously he wants to sort out his future for his own security, but I would expect to speak with somebody from Villa before the end of the year.

"But obviously Villa need to make sure Martin is back on track and that is just what he is doing - there is no concern, he knows he has to be patient."
