Laudrup set to take Swansea job

Michael Laudrup is set to take the Swansea City job.

Sky Sports says the 47-year-old has emerged as the leading candidate to succeed Brendan Rodgers, who left the Liberty Stadium at the beginning of June to join Liverpool.

Swansea initially targeted Wigan assistant boss Graeme Jones, but talks broke down and they have since been looking at other options.

Talks will take place with the Dane, who has managed with Getafe and Mallorca, and an appointment could be made by the end of the week.
