Laudrup, Mackay linked with Allardyce's West Ham job

West Ham United co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold are seriously considering axing Sam Allardyce this summer.

The Telegraph says there is recognition within the boardroom that a change of direction may be needed and Gold and Sullivan must decide whether Allardyce is the man to oversee it. He has just over a year to run on his current deal.

Sullivan and Gold stuck by Allardyce earlier this season, when West Ham were in the relegation zone, but Premier League survival will prompt more soul-searching.

Pressure on Allardyce has increased again, with former Swansea manager Michael Laudrup joining Malky Mackay out of work and more managers certain to become available in the summer.

The future of David Moyes at Manchester United could be of particular interest to West Ham.
