Late Gallas goal saves Arsenal blushes against Hull

William Gallas has saved Arsenal from again going down to their bogey side Hull City in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Nick Barmby fired the Tigers in front after 13 minutes to stun the Emirates Stadium crowd and the visitors then proceeded to try to protect their lead.

It came undone in the 74th minute when Robin van Persie netted from an Andrei Arshavin pass and completely unravelled when former skipper William Gallas headed home just six minutes from time.

Gallas' goal was controversial according to Hull officials and fans who believe the Frenchman was offside prior to goal.

The Gunners will now meet Chelsea in the semi-final as Hull will focus on remaining alive in the top flight.
