Laszlo happy to have Chervenkov as Hearts assistant

New Hearts boss Csaba Laszlo is happy to have Angel Chervenkov working as his assistant.

Chervenkov returned to Edinburgh last month to assist with pre-season training having been sacked as coach by Hearts' majority shareholder, Vladimir Romanov, last December. Since receiving a second chance in Scotland he has found a rapport with Laszlo.

"At the moment, Angel is the assistant. He is doing a good job, he is a positive guy and he knows the Scottish league, which is an advantage for me," Laszlo told the Edinburgh Evening News. "His communication is okay but we have the reserve team and we must also have a coach for that. The club is growing at the moment. We know that, in the past, we have made a lot of mistakes. Now it's important to learn from them.

"We know 100 per cent what we must do, on the pitch and off it. I would like people who have the right character, who show that with their body language and who have passion for the club.

"I'm happy with the people who are working with me.

"Maybe in the future we can look to take some more quality in the technical team but I don't want to do this in a hurry.

"We must look for a trainer who has the attitude and quality to work with the club. It's like a marriage."
