Barcelona defender Dani Alves insists last season's loss to Celtic in the Champions League was purely a once-off.
The Scottish champions edged the Catalan giants 2-1 at Parkhead in the group stage of Europe's premier club competition last term but Brazilian right-back Alves says history will not be repeating itself when the two clubs meet in the 2013/14 version on Tuesday night.
"We lost in Scotland last season but the reality was it wasn't a fair result," he said.
"We accepted we lost but it was down to individual errors.
"It was not down to Celtic playing better football than us on the night.
"They were lucky. It was a one-off that won't happen again."
He added: "We have anticipated the way that Celtic will play against us and we have to accept that.
"If they adopt the same approach again, they will be very fortunate to get anything from the game this time."
