Investors keen to bring an expansion MLS team to Las Vegas are now looking to acquire a percentage of the Columbus Crew. The group fronted by California businessman Mark Noorzai, would acquire a portion of the Crew from Hunt Sports Group, according to sportsbusinessjournal.com.

The investors are not planning to move the team and Hunt Sports the current owners would continue to run the organization.

MLS Commissioner Don Garber mentioned Las Vegas in a list of nine expansion cities at his state-of-the-league address this summer along with Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Atlanta, Miami, Portland, St. Louis and New York.
