Sebastian Larsson was delighted for Sunderland teammate David Vaughan over his wonder strike in victory over Blackburn Rovers.
Larsson wasn't surprised by the quality of the strike having witnessed similar Vaughan bullets out on the training pitch at the Academy of Light.
"What a strike," remarked Larsson on safc.com.
"He hit the ball as clean as you like and it was a great reward for a great performance. Vaughany kept harrassing people and kept himself moving all afternoon.
"We needed that moment of quality because we were getting plenty of balls into the box without scoring.
"He knew it was in as soon as he hit it. Their keeper didn't even move.
"Vaughany's done that in training a few times and it was great to see."
