Former Barcelona president Joan Laporta feels the current board overworked Pep Guardiola last season. Guardiola has left Barca citing exhaustion as the main reason for his decision.

"What would have been nice is that Guardiola had continued coaching the club. For the reasons he has explained, he could not. He was tired, obviously, because he had to work roles that he should not have been doing during this season," rapped Laporta.

Laporta also said: "Can Barca seriously ask fans if this is the best season in the club's history. No top-level titles. I ask if they prefer Barça this season or the one which we won the Liga title, Champions League and all that was there to win."
