Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists they won't make a hostile bid for Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery. After last night's thrashing of Bayern, Laporta said: "He's a fast player and creative, but Bayern Munich regard him as their major influence.

"The great advantage we have with Bayern is the relationship that we maintain. They know what interests us and we what interests them, that will continue.

"This is an issue that I must evaluate with the coaching staff and we will have direct and frank communication. Anyway we have a great and very comprehensive squad already."
