Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists they never made an offer for Real Madrid defender Ezequiel Garay while he was still tied to Racing Santander.

"There was no offer made because the technical staff chose to focus on other players," insisted Laporta, who added: "there was no formal agreement, so no breach was generated."
