Lanus star Eduardo Salvio has welcomed interest from Atletico Madrid.

"That a club like Atletico is fixed on me is something very nice. I am very happy for that," said Salvio.

"They're one of the greats of Spanish football. And I say that it fills me with happiness that Atletico has set their sights on me.

"My intention is to play in Europe and if it can be at a big club like Atletico, the better."
