Mitch Langerak says he does not fancy a loan move away from Borussia Dortmund in order to further his development.
The 25-year old Australian goalkeeper is second choice at Dortmund and it has been suggested he go out on loan or leave the club so he can force his way into the Socceroos squad for the 2014 World Cup.
But Langerak, who made his full Champions League debut against Marseille last week, is content at Signal Iduna Park in his role behind number one Roman Weidenfeller.
"I know a lot of people in Australia have been saying I need to go out on loan or even leave the club and do this and do that," said Langerak from Paris as the Socceroos prepare to take on France on Friday (Saturday morning AEDT).
"But I think leaving things the way they are is perfect for my career. I am seeing football at the highest level in Europe and that's experience you can't buy.
"I am involved and do get the chance to play and I am happy with the choices I've made.
"At the end of last season I spoke with the coach (Juergen Klopp) and asked what he expected of me and what his plans were. The topic of a possible loan came up and he said 'no' and that is good for me.
"I have a coach who believes in me - and that's the most important thing."
