Frank Lampard is happy to hear Jose Mourinho plans to bring through more young players at Chelsea.

Lamps welcomes the move and wants to play his part in developing the emerging talent.

He told The Sun: "We have a lot of young players who have come in and done very well and they will only get better.

"They have signed some fantastic young players and a lot has been spent on the Academy. That's an obvious progression that the club is rightly doing.

"The ideal thing is to also have players of experience who can help those players - and not just on the pitch.

"That's to come from me next year and, hopefully, in the future. Not just playing well enough on the pitch to stay here but also to help the Oscars and other young players who are coming through."
