Chelsea veteran Frank Lampard has praised the debut performance produced by Eden Hazard today.
The 21-year old Belgian winger starred in his first Premier League game for the Blues, setting up both goals as they beat Wigan Athletic 2-0 at the DW Stadium.
Hazard fed Branislav Ivanovic for the opener before winning a penalty which Lampard slotted home and the midfielder was delighted to see the former Lille man do so well.
"He (Hazard) was brilliant. It's a young age to come into the Premier League, no matter how good of a player you are," he told Sky Sports after the match before presenting Hazard with the Man of the Match award.
"He showed the quality he has with the spin and the ball to put Ivanovic through and he showed great speed to get away from his man for the penalty. He was great to play with."
