Frank Lampard is backing Chelsea's young players to make loan moves away to improve their game.
The England ace says he learned plenty when playing at Swansea City on-loan from previous club West Ham United.
Lampard told Chelsea TV: "I went to Swansea on loan for two months, it wasn't great football for me but one thing it did do was get me mentally prepared to win a game.
"I played for three points. Swansea were on the verge of relegation and it made me realise you need to win a game.
"Playing for the reserves doesn't always teach you that. Some players can learn that instinctively but some don't."
