Frank Lampard insists he will not get too worked up about breaking the Chelsea goalscoring record.
The veteran midfielder netted his 201st Blues goal when he scored from the spot in Sunday's 2-0 home win over Swansea City, doing so in front of the record holder Bobby Tambling who scored 202 times for the Southwest London club.
Lampard met Tambling before the match and although he was unable to equal the record with the great man present he says he will not be fussing about completing the job in a certain timeframe.
"I'm glad he was healthy enough to be here and it was nice to see him," he told Sky Sporta.
"There could not be more of a gentleman to hold that record. It would have been great to [match the record] in front of him but it doesn't work that way.
"I try for it not to be on my mind because people are talking about it. If I am confident and playing regularly and training hard the goals will come."
