Lampard insists Chelsea can get back into title race

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard insists they have plenty to play for this season.

Lampard, who is back from injury, is certainly refusing to give up on their hopes of catching Manchester United and claiming a fourth title in nine years.

He said: "We have to push on in the League, we can't be content with being 10 points behind the leaders, we need to close that gap.

"It's certainly not over, we all know that. It's only pre-Christmas so it can't be over but we have given ourselves a very tough task which we did again last year, when we fell away and never recovered.

"This season we have to make sure we have an instant reaction and after the result against Sunderland we have to make sure we go on and on when we get back from Japan.

"After Leeds we have to refocus and get as many points as we can."
