Lampard convinced Chelsea pal Sturridge capable of something special

Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has hailed the emergence of Danny Sturridge.

Lampard and Sturridge are together with the England camp this wee.

"I was just talking to John after training, we were talking about how the speed of training with the young boys has come into it, it's upped," Lampard said just after England had finished a final session on the Wembley turf.

"[Danny] Sturridge and [Danny] Welbeck, they really do bring a youthful pace and speed to their play. I would say that, in terms of training and games, we're bringing in players who might give us an edge to what we've had before. They can make something happen.

"I've played with Sturridge and he can make something happen out of nothing. The young boys have come in and brought that. I do feel that's different. These young boys coming through bring in a carefree attitude. Sometimes, the years of playing for England can make you see things different. They're fearless."
