Frank Lampard says team spirit is the key for Chelsea rebounding from last season's disappointing Premiership campaign.
Lampard told Nuts Magazine: "We have to remember what won us the title the first two years. It was about quality play and team spirit and they came together as a whole.
"You see the emergence of Liverpool as well and you can't discount Arsenal. Then there's a group of teams below that. It's got to make you even more determined."
Chelsea face rivals Liverpool and Manchester United before the end of September and the 29-year-old admits it is vital they start the campaign well.
"Everyone will be focused. We're all winners from top to bottom and we all want to fight together, make no mistake. Everyone knows that. We'll be focused. What we want is a good start to the season - which will be tough - and move on from there, and play with confidence."
