Frank Lampard says Chelsea's Champions League triumph is one of English football's greatest achievements.

Roberto di Matteo took over with Chelsea trailing Napoli 3-1 from the first leg of their last-16 clash and their Premier League form at rock bottom.

Chelsea recovered to beat Napoli and went on to knock out Benfica and defending champions Barcelona before beating Bayern Munich on penalties at their home ground in Saturday's final.

Lampard said: "It is right up there. Liverpool did great to come back from three goals down against AC Milan in 2005.

"But when you add up our situation - our run against Napoli, Barcelona and then the final, where we had four suspended and two centre-halves (Gary Cahill and David Luiz) who barely trained because of injury, it's very comparable with Liverpool."
