Tottenham forward Erik Lamela believes his side didn't deserve to lose to Manchester City in the Premier League encounter on Sunday.
The 1-0 defeat left Spurs sitting sixth on the league table, just a point clear of their nearest rivals Southampton, which has their Europa League hopes all but secure.
Sergio Aguero scored the solitary goal of the match at White Hart Lane and his compatriot Lamela felt the north Londoners were hardly done by.
Lamela said: "We wanted to play good football [against City] and we tried to put on a good performance for our fans.
"We didn't deserve to lose but we have to put it behind us and look at the games we have left.
"It was one of those days - it's football and this can happen sometimes."
