Erik Lamela is unlikely to again play for Tottenham Hotspur this season.
The Daily Mail is reporting that Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has ended the Argentine's treatment in Rome, essentially throwing his future at White Hart Lane into doubt.
Lamela, 25, has not played for the North London club since October 25 because of a reported hip injury.
But recent scans showed there is no issue which has prompted Pochettino to have his medical staff cease the 'treatment' he has been receiving in the Italian capital over the past five months.
Lamela, who is on £65,000 a week, is contracted with Tottenham until 2018 but could be offloaded this summer with Inter Milan believed to be showing significant interest in the former AS Roma attacker.
