Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert wants ­ex-players to pay him a visit to voice their frustrations - ­rather than use the media.

Shaun Teale, Dion Dublin, Dwight Yorke and Steve Froggatt have all expressed concerns, while pundit ­Robbie Savage has predicted Villa will go down.

And Lambert added: "It doesn't bother me what the ex-players think. If they have a problem they should come and see me."
