Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert isn't planning to sell Darren Bent.

The Telegraph says Lambert will allow big earners Richard Dunne, Shay Given, Alan Hutton and Stephen Warnock to leave in January, though their wages are likely to prove prohibitive to interested clubs. Warnock is currently on loan at Bolton Wanderers and could have his spell extended to the end of the season.

Villa insist that record £24 million signing Bent, who is expected to be fit for this weekend's home game against Arsenal after an ankle injury, is not for sale.
