Lambert pleased with Villa victory against Ipswich

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert was delighted with their FA Cup win over Ipswich Town.

Lambert hailed the impact of fit-again Darren Bent and Charles N'Zogbia as his side came from behind to defeat Ipswich 2-1 and reach the fourth round of the FA Cup.

He said: "That was the really pleasing thing, to have the players back from injury.

"That finish is Darren Bent down to a tee. It was top class. But I thought his overall game was very good, his whole work ethic and the way he played.

"I thought his whole general game was very good, considering he only really trained with us yesterday, so it was a big, big effort from him.

"Charles N'Zogbia is certainly a talent, there is no two ways about it.

"It was a big thing for him to play because he has been out for well over six weeks or so and he only trained yesterday along with Darren and Gabby."
