Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert doesn't expect to add to his squad before deadline day.

Finances may rule Villa out of any further activity this month.

Owner Randy Lerner sanctioned a £3million deal to bring Carles Gil in from Valencia but it could end there.

Lambert said: "Will there be any more coming in? The way it's looking at the moment 'no.'"
