Lambert confident he's the man for Stoke

Paul Lambert insists he has what it takes to lift Stoke back to the top-flight.

The Scot, who replaced Mark Hughes as Potters boss in January, was unable to keep the Staffordshire club from being relegated.

Asked if he would still be in charge next season said: "I'd love to, aye. I think it's a brilliant club.

"I think you can relate to the supporters because it's an area where it's a really hard-working city, and I'm from an area like that myself, so I know what it's like. But the club needs rebuilding, without a shadow of a doubt.

"Guys will probably go. Guys will come in. I think that's normal. We have to get a more balanced team."
