Stoke City manager Paul Lambert was buoyed by Tyrese Campbell's debut in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Leicester City.
After scoring a number 12 goals in 15 appearances for the Potters U23 side, Lambert brought the 18-year-old on in the 64th minute at the King Power Stadium.
"That's a great one for him," Lambert enthused. "He will see that this is what big-time football is like.
"He's only a young kid at 18 years of age and it's a great one to throw him in for.
"I thought he handled it very well and it was very encouraging for him and for us."
