Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert hopes to trim their wage bill at the end of this season.

The Mirror says expensive outcasts Darren Bent - on a season's loan at Fulham - and £32,000-a-week Alan Hutton are likely to go in the summer, when they will have just 12 months left on their deals, and Villa are increasingly hopeful of also permanently moving on Shay Given.

Nathan Delfouneso and Charles N'Zogbia will also leave, whole Gary Gardner could be released.
