Lallana: You saw what first Liverpool goal meant to me

Adam Lallana was thrilled to score his first goal for Liverpool in victory over West Bromwich Albion.

The midfielder admits there was lot of relief in his celebration.

"A lot of my feelings were represented in my celebration," he told Liverpoolfc.com.

"It was a proud moment and a bit of relief, as it's always nice to get off the mark. But, more importantly, we got the three points and that is a step in the right direction.

"The win is massive for everyone involved in the club. It's no secret that we've had a tough few games, but we dug in - which we knew we had to.

"West Brom were resilient and coming off the back of two good results. Teams come here and make it difficult for us, but credit to the lads, the manager and the fans - they stayed with us. We got the win in the end, which was what it was all about."
