Adam Lallana insists he is happy at Southampton.

Although Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale, two of his friends as trainees, moved on to Arsenal and Tottenham respectively, Lallana is more than happy to stay at Saints, even though promotion to the Championship could be just beyond them this season.

He has been closely watched by Premier League scouts this season but told the Sunday Mirror: "I am under contract, so I will definitely be staying here.

"The club has shown its ambitions and which direction it wants to go, and I think it will steamroll forward.

"It has been a good season, but it could turn into an excellent one.

"Playing at Wembley will be a lovely bonus, but if we don't make the play-offs this year then I am sure it won't be too long before we do climb a league and look onwards and upwards."
